Qualifications

• Rising senior in undergrad or final-year Master/PhD in Mining Engineering or related field.
• Foundational knowledge of open-pit/underground mining, planning principles, and earthmoving equipment.
• Familiarity with Vulcan, Deswik, or Hexagon is a plus.
• Strong technical writing, reporting and presentation skills.
• Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and present findings clearly.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; valid driver's license; willing to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a 12-week project, manage timelines, and deliver a final technical report and presentation.
• Review and develop mine plans, scheduling, and drill & blast designs.
• Assist with trade-off studies, haulage optimizations, and equipment sizing evaluations.
• Support design, execution, and data analysis of mine production tracking and continuous improvement programs.
