Job summary

Summa Health in Akron, Ohio is seeking a Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeon to join our employed physician group. The practice emphasizes pelvic health, including pain, fibroids, endometriosis, vulvar disease, colposcopy, and related injections, with no obstetrics component.

The surgeon will join a large multi-specialty group with academic appointments and robust subspecialty coverage. 3 days in the office and growing OR time are planned, with flexible FTE up to 1.0.

Qualifications

• Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery required.
• Board certification in OB/GYN required.
• Unrestricted Ohio licensure or ability to obtain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIGS procedures and related pelvic health care.
• Engage in medical student, resident, and fellow education.
• Contribute to evidence-based, standardized patient-centred care.

Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeon

Summa Health is seeking a MIGS Specialist to join our employed physician group. We are currently considering surgical applicants. The surgeon should also have an interest in pelvic medicine. Our practice includes all aspects of pelvic health including but not limited to pelvic pain, fibroids, endometriosis, vulvar disease, colposcopy, trigger point injections, and minimally invasive surgery. The position does not include obstetrics.

The selected candidate will become a member of Summa Health Medical Group, a multi-specialty group practice of nearly 700 providers employed by the Summa Health System. Summa Health - headquartered in Akron, Ohio - is one of the largest integrated Healthcare Delivery Systems in the state. With 2 hospitals and 20+ health centers, Summa Health provides access to care throughout the region.

• Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology

• Completion of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery Fellowship

• Unrestricted Ohio Licensure or willingness to obtain

• Commitment to evidence-based, standardized care in a patient centered, team-based environment
