Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mine Surveyor in open-pit mining environments.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar surveying software.
• Experience with survey data processing and 3D modeling.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work in varying site conditions.
• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct topographic surveys, setting out of mine workings, and volumetric calculations.

You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining precise survey control for all mining activities, ensuring adherence to design specifications and regulatory requirements. This role is critical for accurate mine planning, excavation, and monitoring of the operational footprint. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of survey technologies and their application in a challenging mining environment, contributing to operational efficiency and safety in the Western Cape.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting topographic surveys, setting out of mine workings, and volumetric calculations.
• Utilizing advanced surveying equipment, including GPS, total stations, and laser scanners.

• Monitoring ground stability and reporting any significant deviations or potential hazards.
