Freeport-McMoRan Inc. seeks an experienced Mine Maintenance - Operations Mentor to guide and develop maintenance crews at the Climax Molybdenum operation near Leadville, CO.

The role emphasizes safety-first mentoring, knowledge transfer, and hands-on training across mine operations and fixed/mobile equipment maintenance. The position requires strong English communication, a background in industrial maintenance, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of industrial work experience.
• Direct experience with mine operations or related maintenance.
• Ability to communicate across multiple platforms in English.
• Strong safety mindset and hazard awareness.
• Ability to understand and apply safety instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Train crew members in KSAs across department-specific jobs.
• Support development initiatives and liaise between groups to address gaps.
• Assess task/skill competency of crew members.
• Help identify technical competencies and develop SOPs and training materials.
• Update and maintain training documentation.
• Perform other duties related to developing and mentoring others.
