Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. is seeking a maintenance-focused technician for on-site work at Climax Molybdenum in Leadville, Colorado. The role offers a $1,450 monthly housing allowance to eligible employees and a pay range of $22.00–$29.50 per hour, with base pay determined by experience and skills.

Applicants should be prepared for a non-standard schedule in a 24/7 operation; a medical exam and training may be required. Leadville area offers scenic outdoor recreation opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have completed academic and practical competencies and pass a written assessment.
• Includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP exists.
• Safety training and aptitude demonstrated.

Responsibilities

• Safely assist with maintenance and repair of Milling plant equipment (mills, conveyors, screens).
• Assist with maintenance on crushers, conveyors, ball mills, lube systems, compressors.
• Perform preventative maintenance on mill equipment.
• Complete work orders and maintain maintenance docs.
• Perform housekeeping and area checks.
• May operate mobile equipment.
• Perform other duties as required.
