Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan Inc. is seeking a Mill Repair Employee to support maintenance and repair of milling equipment and conveyors at the Climax Mine in Colorado. You will perform mechanical maintenance, component replacements, and preventive tasks to keep the plant running efficiently.

The position requires basic welding skills and the ability to read schematics, with a housing allowance and competitive benefits. On-site work at elevation offers unique mountain-area opportunities.

Qualifications

Experience in mechanical/maintenance repair in an industrial setting.
Ability to read and interpret schematics and prints.
Completion of required training and tests including safety assessments.

Responsibilities

Safely maintains, installs, and repairs milling equipment and conveyors.
Performs component replacement on conveyors, mills, screens, and pumps.
Conducts mechanical lubrication and preventative maintenance inspections.
May perform welding (Stick, TIG).
Maintains work orders and a clean, safe work area.
Performs other duties as required.
