Job summary

The Jerritt Canyon Gold Mine seeks a Capital Projects Superintendent to lead field execution of major capital projects within a mining operation. You will oversee construction, commissioning, and handover, coordinating with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Procurement and contractors to deliver on scope, schedule, budget, quality, environmental requirements, and site safety expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; mining/industrial experience preferred.
• 8–12+ years in capital projects or construction within mining or heavy industry.
• Experience leading field construction activities for large-scale capital projects; site leadership.
• Experience managing multiple contractors and subcontractors in industrial or mine-site environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field execution of capital projects, ensuring work is safe, efficient, and per plans.
• Provide construction leadership for mine infrastructure, processing facilities, and related systems.
• Coordinate construction activities across contractors, trades, engineering, and site departments.
• Establish field priorities and ensure resources, equipment, and manpower to maintain schedules.
• Monitor progress against schedules, budgets, and project objectives; mitigate risks.
• Review contractor performance, change orders, and cost control with project controls.
• Ensure commissioning, startup, turnover, and operational handover readiness.
• Maintain accurate field documentation and project reporting.

Experience through construction to handover

Knowledge of management of change, permitting, safety, env & QA processes
