First Majestic Silver Corp-Jerritt Canyon Gold is seeking a Project Engineer to plan, coordinate, and execute mining-related capital and sustaining projects. You will work with operations, maintenance, safety, and contractors to deliver projects on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulations.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 5+ years in mining or heavy industry, and PMP or equivalent training.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; 5+ years of engineering/project engineering experience, preferably in mining or heavy industry.
• PMP certification or equivalent program management training is preferred.
• Experience managing capital projects from concept through commissioning is required.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, coordinate, and manage mining-related capital and sustaining projects from initiation through completion.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, cost estimates, budgets, resource requirements, and execution plans.
• Coordinate engineering design activities and ensure deliverables meet codes and industry standards.
• Work with mining, processing, maintenance, and operations teams to identify improvements and develop solutions.
• Manage engineering consultants, contractors, vendors, and other resources.
• Review drawings, specifications, reports, and procurement packages; support procurement activities.
• Coordinate construction activities and provide technical support during installation and startup.
• Monitor progress, costs, schedules, quality, risks; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Identify and manage project risks across technical, operational, safety, and cost domains.
• Prepare project documentation including budgets, progress reports, and change orders.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and company standards; incorporate safety and sustainability requirements.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers and project personnel.
