Job summary

Sellars Absorbent Materials, Inc. is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage biweekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff using Paylocity. The role ensures compliance, maintains records, and supports audits.

You will review timekeeping, earnings, deductions, taxes, and direct deposits; administer garnishments and year-end processing; and collaborate with HR and Finance to keep payroll accurate. This is an on-site position at our Milwaukee Corporate Office, with comprehensive benefits starting

Qualifications

• 4+ years of payroll processing experience, including hands-on biweekly payroll.
• Hands-on Paylocity or a similar payroll/HRIS platform experience.
• Experience with payroll reconciliations, audits, year-end processing, and regulatory reporting.
• Working knowledge of payroll taxes, wage and hour regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office.

Responsibilities

• Process biweekly payroll accurately for all employees.
• Review timekeeping, earnings, deductions, taxes, and direct deposits.
• Process payroll adjustments, including bonuses and retroactive pay.
• Administer garnishments and other required payroll deductions.
• Maintain confidential payroll records and reconcile payroll accounts.
• Assist with payroll tax filings, year-end processing, and reporting.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance/Accounting, and benefits providers.
