Job summary

Sellars Absorbent Materials in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Staff Accountant/Payroll Specialist with 3–5 years of experience. You will gain exposure across the full accounting function including payroll, GL, AR/AP, cash, tax, and audits while growing into broader finance leadership.

Responsibilities include processing bi-weekly payroll, reconciling payroll accounts, journal entries, assisting audits, and supporting month-end close.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3–5 years of payroll processing experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience with Paylocity or similar Payroll/HRIS system.
• Knowledge of GAAP principles.
• Comfort with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly payroll and maintain related records.
• Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare journal entries for GL.
• Support month-end close and general ledger reconciliations.
• Assist external auditors with tax filings and audits.
• Support cash forecasting and reporting.
• Identify and implement process improvements using Excel automation and AI tools.
