Job summary

D7 Pneumatics LLC seeks a highly skilled Millwright with strong welding capabilities to join our maintenance division for fall shutdowns. The role covers maintenance, repair, and installation of industrial machinery across steel mills, with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Ideal candidates will have a Millwright apprenticeship or equivalent, welding expertise (MIG/TIG/Stick), and a solid grasp of mechanical systems, hydraulics and pneumatics.

Qualifications

• Completion of Millwright apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
• Industrial maintenance experience, preferably in steel mills, sawmills and power plants.
• Strong MIG, TIG and Stick welding skills across steel and stainless materials.
• Solid understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights and in extreme temperatures.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to following safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, repair and installation of industrial machinery in mining, sawmill and auto sectors.
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment, conveyors, pumps, motors and gearboxes.
• Perform MIG/TIG/Stick welding for repairs and fabrication as needed.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
• Assist with installation, alignment and commissioning of new equipment.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area, following all safety procedures.
• Collaborate with technicians, engineers and management for efficient operations.
