Job summary
Northwest Hardwoods is seeking a detailed Millwright to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and install equipment across our Grand Rapids, MI facility. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, welding and fabrication skills, and the ability to service hydraulic and pneumatic systems while maintaining safety and quality standards.
You will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, support continuous improvement initiatives, and document downtime and maintenance
Qualifications
- Industrial maintenance or millwright experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
- Welding and fabrication experience required.
- Experience troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and power transmission systems.
- Repair and replace bearings, gear reducers, valves, motors, conveyors, and related equipment.
- Perform precision drivetrain alignments and equipment adjustments.
- Assist with installation, modification, and relocation of equipment as needed.
