Job summary

Georgia-Pacific in Warrenton, GA is seeking an experienced Millwright to support our Lumber facility and maintain high-speed production equipment. You will work to solve complex mechanical issues and help drive reliability across the mill.

Starting pay ranges from $34+ per hour, with a $2500 sign-on bonus. Overtime opportunities are available; relocation benefits may be available; retention bonuses may apply, and a 2-3-3-2 shift schedule with days or nights will be assigned.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience in wood products or three (3) years of industrial maintenance in a manufacturing, production, or military environment.
• Experience reading blueprints and performing precision measurements.
• Experience troubleshooting rotating equipment, including bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, and conveyor systems.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including reading hydraulic schematics.

Responsibilities

• Support high-speed manufacturing equipment including conveyors, motors, hydraulics, pneumatic systems, and automated production lines.
• Perform reliability and maintenance work on heavy industrial machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance aligned with the facility’s maintenance strategy.
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures, identify root causes, and implement effective repairs.
• Partner with operations to prioritize maintenance needs and improve equipment performance.
• Follow all plant safety guidelines, policies, and procedures.
