Job summary

Georgia-Pacific Madison, GA is hiring a Maintenance Millwright to keep equipment running safely and reliably. The role offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus and pay of $30.00-$36.00 per hour, with eligibility for variable pay. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant equipment, work in a team, and uphold safety standards in a wood mill environment.

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and pumps.
• Experience installing, aligning, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing industrial equipment.
• Experience with fabrication, welding, and cutting torch.
• Experience operating hoisting and lifting devices.
• Experience troubleshooting bearings, chains, sprockets, and gearboxes.
• Experience with precision alignment of motors and couplings.
• Experience reading blueprints, technical drawings, and hydraulic schematics.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety, environmental, and PPE requirements in an industrial setting.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment for reliability and uptime.
• Assist co-workers and work effectively in a team environment.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards throughout the facility.
• Communicate work performed and equipment status clearly, in writing if needed.
• Support production goals through a quality maintenance program.
• Read and understand work instructions and follow scheduled maintenance.
• Operate in hot, humid, cold, and noisy environments.
• Demonstrate leadership, train others when needed, self-starter.
• Perform physically demanding tasks (lifting, bending, etc.).
