Job summary

Georgia-Pacific's Dudley, NC plywood mill is seeking Industrial Millwrights. This highly skilled hourly position requires a thorough understanding of safe work practices, troubleshooting, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment to maximize uptime.

Pay starts at $28 per hour based on qualifications and experience, with a $3,000 sign-on bonus. Work schedules include weekends/holidays and day/night shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of industrial mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience with bearings, chains, sprockets, rigging, and precision alignment.
• Welding and fabrication skills are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, install, align, dismantle, and repair industrial machinery for reliability.
• Perform periodic maintenance to identify and fix mechanical defects.
• Maintain equipment performance and prioritize maintenance needs with operations.
• Follow safety rules and wear PPE as required.
• Order parts as needed and perform precision work (laser alignment, belt tensioning, torque specs).
• Diagnose and repair mill equipment including pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical faults.
