Job summary
Global Cellulose Fibers is seeking a J1 Millwright Maintenance Technician for our Columbus, MS facility to support a high‑reliability, continuous‑process operation. The role emphasizes safe, skilled mechanical maintenance, alignment, pumps, conveyors, and rotating equipment, with a focus on preventive and predictive tasks.

Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
- Formal technical/trade school training in mechanical maintenance.
- Three+ years verifiable industrial experience as a J1 Mechanical Maintenance Technician.
- Previous multi-skilled maintenance experience.
- Commitment to safety, quality, ethics, and leadership.
- Ability to work around hazardous chemicals with PPE.
- Flexible hours including weekends and shifts as required.
Responsibilities
- Bearings installation and replacement (tapered and straight bore).
- Rigging and setting heavy equipment and machinery.
- Precision alignment of equipment and machinery.
- Install/repair centrifugal process pumps and hydraulic systems.
- Install/repair mechanical drives, belts, and conveyors.
- Maintenance of steam systems, compressors, pumps, and turbines.
- Troubleshoot using drawings and manuals; perform preventive maintenance.
