Job summary

Global Cellulose Fibers in Columbus, MS is seeking a J3 Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance Technician to perform scheduled maintenance, troubleshoot PLC/DCS systems, and support high-voltage motor controls from 575V to 2300V. The role combines field and shop work with a focus on safety and reliability in a large industrial facility.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience required
• Eligible for employment in the US
• Five (5) or more years industrial E&I maintenance experience
• Previous multi-skilled E&I maintenance experience
• Must possess high standards in safety, quality, ethics, craftsmanship, customer focus, and leadership skills
• Skilled in maintenance and troubleshooting of E&I related equipment and process problems
• Knowledge of PLCs AC & DC drives, analog and digital field instrumentation, and DCS equipment

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair AC and DC drive systems and standalone drives
• Troubleshoot, configure, maintain DCS systems such as Delta V and Honeywell
• Install, troubleshoot, maintain motors from 575V to 2300V
• Install, calibrate, troubleshoot various instruments and analytical equipment
• Maintain motor controls including protective relays and starters
• Repair final control elements and valve positioners
• Maintain electrical components and sensors
• Read and redline wiring diagrams, schematics, P&IDs
• Follow 70E arc flash and shock safety
• Communicate with operators during troubleshooting
• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on outages
• Keep work areas organized to 5S standard
• Other duties as assigned
