Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Maintenance Millwright for our Taylorsville, MS Plywood facility. You will troubleshoot, repair and maintain industrial machinery, install and align new equipment, and perform preventive maintenance to improve uptime.

Shift flexibility, overtime, and safety adherence are required. The role emphasizes hands-on mechanical maintenance in a manufacturing environment, with opportunities to advance based on skills and contributions.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years or more of experience in a mechanical maintenance position within a manufacturing/industrial/military setting.
• Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience reading mechanical drawings and understanding layouts.
• Experience in precision maintenance practices and lubrication.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial machinery.
• Install and align new equipment.
• Perform periodic maintenance routines including lubrication for reliability.
• Maintain maintenance logs with labor hours and PM findings.
• Collaborate with operations to prioritize maintenance needs.
• Help meet production and quality goals while optimizing equipment.
• Adhere to safety and environmental guidelines; participate in safety program.
• Be willing to work any shift, overtime, weekends, and holidays.
