Job summary

Global Cellulose Fibers in Columbus, MS is seeking a J1 Electrical Maintenance Technician to maintain electrical systems, troubleshoot PLCs, drives, instrumentation, and perform scheduled maintenance.

This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and the ability to work a four-day 10-hour schedule (Mon-Thu 7:00am–5:30pm) with every fourth Friday an 8-hour day, at the Columbus Cellulose Fibers facility.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience required.
• Eligible for employment in the US.
• 3+ years verifiable experience as a J1 Electrical technician.
• Multi-skilled maintenance experience.
• Strong safety, quality and ethics standards.

Responsibilities

• Electrical circuit troubleshooting and repair.
• Conduit and wire installation; lighting repair.
• PLC and drive troubleshooting and repair; instrumentation calibration.
