Job summary

Lowe's seeks a Sales Specialist to be among the first associates customers meet, helping them find products and realize home improvement goals. You will become the product expert, explaining specs, promotions, and financing options to close sales.

You’ll work in an assigned department (Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, etc.) and engage customers with problem solving, product recommendations, and courteous service to drive store performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year experience in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (Or 3 years external experience in customer-facing sales or 18 months Lowe’s retail experience if education requirement is not met).
• 1 year of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with required sales goals or metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without accommodation.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in your state (Lowe's will support and fund this).

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by seeking out customers to understand their needs and communicate product advantages.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors within your department, offering project estimates and scheduling installer visits.
• In the Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales and coordinate with vendors and other stores for stock.
• Perform price reviews following pricing policies and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support all checkout functions and assistance requests.
• Train associates in the department through on-the-job coaching and development.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
