Job summary

Woodgrain is seeking a Supervisory role overseeing day-to-day manufacturing activities in our facility. Candidates lead safety, quality, and efficiency initiatives in a fast-paced production area and mentor team members to achieve Woodgrain Millwork goals.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, strong communication, and the ability to manage attendance and performance while collaborating with Human Resources and operations leadership.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of Supervisor experience/leadership in a production environment.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent; Associates degree preferred.
• Strong communication skills: written and verbal.
• Enjoy mentoring others and team building.

Responsibilities

• Champion Safety.
• Collect daily, weekly, and monthly safety, quality control, production, attendance, and training data.
• Continual development and implementation of operating methods and procedures to eliminate waste and improve quality and employee performance.
• Must work well with a wide variety of individuals internal and external to Woodgrain Millwork.
• Actively engage in continuous improvement projects.
• Manage employee attendance according to policy, in a standard and consistent manner.
• Ensure all production equipment is kept in good repair and maintained; remove unsafe equipment when necessary.
• Provide direct reports with regular feedback regarding performance and expectations.
• Keep the chain of command informed of performance, issues requiring disciplinary action, and staffing adjustments.
• Partner with HR on policies and employee relations situations.
• Capable of safely operating production equipment and learning software applications.
