Job summary

ofi North America is seeking a Mill Lead to oversee daily milling operations in Fernley, NV. The role reports to Production Supervisor and aims to achieve productivity, efficiency, cost, quality, and safety objectives through team leadership and continuous improvement.

The Mill Lead will supervise shift teams, ensure food safety checks, train staff, resolve equipment issues, and coordinate with QA to maintain production targets and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must communicate in English; bilingual Spanish preferred.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work overtime and extended production season (May–Oct).
• Strong team player with good communication and training abilities.

Responsibilities

• Advise Management of manpower needs and schedule shifts.
• Train employees on their shift and orientation of new hires.
• Maintain food safety checks and documentation; trouble-shoot equipment issues.
• Monitor and improve safety, quality, and productivity; ensure PPE use.
• Lead a team to meet Mill and quality goals; manage attendance and time off.
• Coordinate with QA and ensure labels and weigh scales are properly managed.
