Job summary

Ardent Mills in Commerce City, CO is seeking an Assistant Head Miller to oversee daily mill operations, maintenance, wheat cleaning and tempering, and safety initiatives. You will lead milling teams, collaborate with engineering on capital projects, promote process improvements, and drive reliability, quality, and cost reduction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 1-2 years of milling and leadership experience
• Demonstrated ability to create and modify CAD drawings of mill layouts, equipment components and flowsheets
• Basic knowledge of maintaining, operating, and troubleshooting cleaning, milling, and conveying systems
• Basic knowledge of maintenance systems (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)

Responsibilities

• Identify operational discrepancies and provide corrective action timelines
• Improve production process, safety, cost, and product quality
• Ensure mills are properly and efficiently maintained
• Collaborate with engineering and training for advanced milling practices
• Support plant departments and engineering for new projects and problem solving
• Drive milling best practices and technology adoption
