Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a Feed Mill Maintenance Tech to oversee maintenance and repair of feed mill machinery, conveyors, boilers and related equipment. You will ensure accurate maintenance records and support a safe, efficient operation.

The role focuses on troubleshooting electrical systems, maintaining VFD drives, pumps and conveyors, and improving preventative maintenance programs. Applicants should be able to read English and collaborate with a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Must have strong troubleshooting skills for industrial equipment.
Experience reading electrical schematics and repairing controls.
Ability to read English and follow maintenance procedures.
Team-oriented with effective communication in a fast-paced plant.
Willingness to participate in preventative maintenance programs.

Responsibilities

Perform daily maintenance on assigned equipment areas and schedule tasks.
Follow standard maintenance procedures for replacing, installing, and adjusting equipment.
Identify maintenance issues and develop corrective strategies to reduce downtime.
Contribute to cost-effective Preventative Maintenance program with supervision.
Establish guidelines for parts replacement and repairs.
Maintain safety and housekeeping standards across the facility.
