Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support daily maintenance across feed mill equipment. The role involves following established maintenance procedures, performing troubleshooting and repairs, and contributing to a preventative maintenance program to minimize downtime.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma and at least one year of industrial maintenance experience, with strong safety awareness and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1 year of successful industrial maintenance experience required.
• Ability to troubleshoot, repair and assemble feed mill equipment.
• Experience reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams is a plus.
• Good English reading and speaking skills.

Responsibilities

• Conducts daily maintenance work activities in assigned equipment areas and sets up maintenance schedules.
• Follows standard operating maintenance instructions for maintenance tasks.
• Develops and improves a cost-effective Preventative Maintenance Program with supervision.
• Maintains and communicates guidelines for parts replacement or repair.
• Promotes a Safety Awareness Program and housekeeping practices.
• Monitors equipment and ensures compliance with environmental laws and EMS policies.
• Establishes or adjusts maintenance procedures to meet production schedules.
