The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a Military Writing and Reporting AI Training Specialist to create, review, and evaluate realistic military and federal communications used to train AI systems. You will apply practical experience with Department of Defense documentation to produce standards-aligned reports, summaries, status updates, and executive communications.

You will also help establish benchmarks and grading guidance for effective government writing. The role focuses on domain expertise, clear judgment, and authentic military and federal writing.

• Subject matter focus: Military and Federal Document Review

What You'll Do

You will create representative military and federal documents from prompts and supplied artifacts, then evaluate AI-generated reports against practical standards. Your feedback will help define what strong government writing looks like across different document types and military contexts.

Requirements

This opportunity is categorized as entry level, but applicants must have at least three years of relevant professional experience with the U.S. Department of Defense. You should be comfortable producing and evaluating recurring or templated military and federal documentation.

Familiarity with federal documentation standards, compliance practices, and branch-specific terminology is essential. You must be able to collaborate remotely on procedural reporting and evaluation work.
