The Role

As a Military Operations Reporting AI Training Expert, you will help improve AI-generated military and Department of Defense reporting materials. You will assess whether content is accurate, clear, appropriately synthesized, and aligned with real-world reporting standards.

This role is designed for someone with at least three years of U.S. Department of Defense experience as a uniformed service member, DoD civilian, or both. Your firsthand knowledge of military operations, staff processes, recurring reports, and executive updates will inform detailed evaluations and realistic AI training content.

What You'll Do

You will review and evaluate reporting materials across operational, program, performance, and resource-management contexts. Your feedback should help determine whether reports communicate information effectively to senior military or DoD leadership.

You will also develop and refine realistic reporting examples and scenarios for AI training, using your understanding of how inputs from multiple teams and staff sections are combined into concise, decision-useful updates.

• Review military and DoD reporting content for accuracy and clarity

• Review Weekly Activity Reports
• Review project or program status reports

Requirements

Candidates must bring direct experience in the U.S. Department of Defense and firsthand familiarity with preparing recurring reports or executive updates for senior military or DoD leadership. Strong written communication and sound judgment are essential because the work involves turning complex inputs into concise, decision-useful reporting.

• At least three years of U.S. Department of Defense experience as a uniformed service member, DoD civilian, or both
• Firsthand experience preparing recurring reports or executive updates for senior military or DoD leadership
• Ability to evaluate AI-generated reports for military terminology, procedural accuracy, reporting standards, and information synthesis
• Experience producing Weekly Activity Reports, status reports, performance or accomplishment reports, after-action reports, or budget execution reports
• Ability to synthesize inputs from multiple teams or staff sections into clear, concise written reporting
• Strong written communication skills
• Practical knowledge of military operations, plans, headquarters or command staff, program management, executive support, or resource management

Helpful Background

Experience coordinating inputs across multiple teams or staff sections and preparing materials for senior leadership is especially relevant. Familiarity with operational and staff roles can help you recognize realistic terminology, workflows, and reporting expectations.
