Job summary

OpenTrain AI seeks a Military Writing and Reporting AI Training Specialist to create, review, and evaluate realistic military and federal communications used to train AI systems. Apply DoD documentation practices to produce standards-aligned reports, summaries, status updates, and executive communications.

You will help establish benchmarks and grading guidance for government writing; collaborate with subject matter experts; and work remotely on a part-time basis with 20+ hours per week, paid at

Qualifications

• At least three years of U.S. Department of Defense professional experience.
• Experience writing Weekly Activity Reports, Situation Reports, or After-Action Reviews.
• Ability to create standards-aligned reference responses and grading rubrics.
• Strong written and verbal communication for technical and operational subjects.
• Familiarity with federal documentation standards and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Create realistic military and federal documents from prompts and artifacts.
• Evaluate AI-generated reports against practical standards.
• Develop reference responses and grading rubrics.
• Draft rubrics and guidelines for assessing military and federal writing.
• Explain stylistic differences across Weekly Activity Reports, Situation Reports, After-Action Reviews, and executive summaries.
• Produce decision briefs, memoranda, and action officer updates when needed.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to reflect varied reporting styles.
