Job summary

BAMSI is seeking a Relief Group Leader for its Adult Day Treatment Center. This role supports therapy groups, promotes engagement, and helps participants build coping skills in a recovery-oriented program.

The position offers up to 20 hours per week with flexible as-needed scheduling, requiring a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team. Bachelor’s degree or 5 years in mental health preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services field preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in a mental health setting.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate therapeutic groups that are process-based, expressive, activity-focused, and skill-building in nature.
• Encourage participation, socialization, and positive peer interactions within the treatment environment.
• Support individuals in engaging with programming and achieving treatment goals.
• Assist with implementing therapeutic interventions and activities as directed.
• Complete daily therapeutic group notes to support clinical documentation requirements.
• Communicate observations and concerns to the clinical team in a timely and professional manner.
• Participate in supervision and team meetings as required.
• Complete all required BAMSI and Adult Day Treatment Center trainings.
• Follow all agency and program policies and procedures.
• Maintain safety standards and utilize universal precautions as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Program Director.

Location: Adult Day Treatment Center
Hours: Up to 20 hours/week (Relief/As Needed)
Salary Range: $21.00/hour
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

What You’ll Do:

The Relief Group Leader supports the Adult Day Treatment Center by facilitating therapeutic programming and promoting engagement among persons served on an as-needed basis.

Group Facilitation & Direct Support

What You Bring:

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services field preferred OR
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in a mental health setting

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to build rapport with adults receiving behavioral health services
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
