Job summary

SPX Technologies, Inc. in Cincinnati Fan's Ohio manufacturing site seeks a skilled welder to join the team. You will perform MIG tack welding, read blueprints, and assemble metal components to meet quality and delivery goals.

Candidate must have 1 year MIG welding experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work safely on first or second shift. Occasional crane and forklift operation may be required.

Qualifications

• 1 year MIG welding in production/manufacturing environment
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Forklift certification and overhead crane operation are a plus

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and maintain clean work areas.
• Read blueprints, schematics, work orders and/or assembly sketches.
• Weld to specifications and out of position on mild steel and stainless steel.
• Coordinate staging and sequencing of parts and products.
• Prepare metals and surfaces for production; select tools and fixturing as needed.
• Transfer completed product to next workstation using cranes and forklifts.
• Perform light maintenance on equipment and document work performed.
