Job summary

SPX Cooling Technologies is seeking a skilled welder to build high-quality parts and subassemblies on multiple production lines in an onsite Missouri facility.

You will operate welding equipment, adjust settings, read drawings, and assemble components while following safety and quality standards. A GED or high school diploma and 3+ years welding experience are preferred; ability to read measuring devices and basic math is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years welding experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication, punching, shearing, cutting, forming and assembly.
• Ability to read and write simple correspondence and read drawings.
• Basic math: add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

Responsibilities

• Operate an overhead crane to move parts safely into place.
• Adjust welding leads, current, feed and gas for proper welds.
• Cut and form metal parts using hand tools, torch or welding equipment.
• Weld components in flat, vertical or overhead positions.
• Read and interpret measuring devices accurately.
• Assemble and weld metal parts together.
• Position material/parts for welding correctly.
• Train and work across production areas as needed.
• Follow work instructions and read drawings accurately.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and quality standards.
• Work well in both team and individual settings.
