APX is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented MIG Welder to support our fabrication shop operations. This role involves welding and assembling metal components to specification in a fast-paced shop setting, with emphasis on safety and consistent quality.

The ideal candidate will read blueprints, perform MIG welds on mild steel, aluminum, and stainless steel, and use grinders to achieve precise finishes while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of MIG welding experience.
• Strong ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, calipers, tape measures, and angle gauges.
• Capable of working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical instructions to execute welding tasks accurately.
• Perform MIG welding, primarily on mild steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel sheet metal components.
• Utilize grinders to smooth welds and remove excess material or spatter, ensuring precision and quality.
