AAON, Inc. is seeking a Welder I to perform routine welding tasks on production components, prepare materials, and ensure welds meet quality standards. You will develop foundational welding skills under supervision on the production line.

This on-site role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to standard work instructions. Training opportunities and a focus on a clean, organized workspace help support efficient manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED; welding experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of welding techniques and equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions and standard procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine welding tasks on production components, ensuring weld quality meets established standards.
• Operate welding equipment to complete tack welds and continuous welds as required by production specifications.
• Use cutting tools and equipment to prepare materials and perform basic metal cutting operations.
• Utilize hand and power tools to grind, fit, and prepare metal components for welding.
• Inspect completed welds for quality and consistency and identify basic defects.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines while handling equipment and materials.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area to support production efficiency.
• Assist with material preparation and movement within the work area.
• Follow standard work instructions and participate in training opportunities.
