Job summary

The Welder I at AAON performs routine welding to support the production of manufactured products. You will prepare materials, complete basic welds, and ensure quality and safety standards while working under supervision to develop welding skills on the production line.

Responsibilities include tack and continuous welds, material preparation, grinding, inspection of welds, and following standard instructions. Emphasis on safety and teamwork in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED or equivalent experience with welding.
• Basic welding technique knowledge and ability to follow standard procedures.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine welding tasks on production components to meet standards.
• Operate welding equipment for tack and continuous welds per specs.
• Prepare materials with cutting tools and perform basic metal cutting.
• Grind and fit components using hand and power tools.
• Inspect welds for quality and defects; correct as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
• Support other welding activities and communicate issues to supervision.
