AAON, Inc. is seeking a Welder I to perform routine welding tasks on production components under supervision, developing foundational skills on the manufacturing line. You will operate welding equipment, prepare materials, inspect welds, and maintain a clean, safe work space while following established procedures.

Starting pay is $22.20/hour, with higher rates based on experience. This position emphasizes teamwork and safety, with opportunities to learn and grow within AAON's manufacturing

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
• Prior experience in welding or manufacturing preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine welding tasks on production components, ensuring weld quality meets established standards.
• Operate welding equipment to complete tack welds and continuous welds as required by production specifications.
• Use cutting tools and equipment to prepare materials and perform basic metal cutting operations.
• Utilize hand and power tools to grind, fit, and prepare metal components for welding.
• Select appropriate materials and settings to support effective welding processes.
• Inspect completed welds for quality and consistency and identify basic defects.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines while handling equipment and materials.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area to support production efficiency.
• Assist with material preparation and movement within the work area.
• Support other production activities within the welding area as needed.
• Follow standard work instructions and participate in training opportunities.
• Communicate issues or concerns to supervisors for resolution.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
