Job summary

Aerotek seeks a Welder for MIG welding and fabrication in Kenosha, WI. You will read blueprints, cut, form, and assemble parts for both custom and production work, maintaining tight tolerances and high quality in a small shop.

The role focuses on MIG welding of structural and stainless steel components, with flux core welding as needed. First-shift, fully onsite with a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• 45+ years of MIG welding experience.
• 4+ years hands-on fabrication experience.
• 3+ years reading and working from blueprints.
• Proficiency in MIG welding on structural steel and stainless steel.
• Experience with flux core welding processes.
• Ability to maintain tolerances at approximately 1/16".

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on structural and stainless steel components.
• Read and interpret blueprints from start to finish.
• Carry out fabrication including cutting, forming, and assembling metal components.
• Fit and weld parts for custom and production projects.
• Maintain 1/16" tolerances to ensure precision.
• Use measuring tools to verify dimensions and quality.
• Operate press brakes for bending/forming when required.
• Ensure welds meet quality and blueprint specifications.
• Work safely in a small shop with a team to meet timelines.
