Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a skilled TIG Welder / Fabricator for a contract-to-hire position based in Kennewick, WA. The role focuses on high-quality custom fabrication across a range of projects within a busy job shop environment.

Responsibilities include TIG and MIG welding, blueprint reading, and assembling and fabricating complex components. The ideal candidate will work independently with strong attention to detail and safety, while contributing to on-time project completion.

Qualifications

• TIG welding and fabrication experience required.
• Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols.
• Ability to work independently in a contract-to-hire shop.
• Strong attention to quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• TIG weld on stainless steel, aluminum, carbon steel, and other materials.
• MIG welding and general fabrication on custom projects.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, weld symbols, and specifications.
• Fit, assemble, and fabricate components to meet project requirements.
• Weld and fabricate custom parts, assemblies, frames, and structural components.
• Measure, cut, grind, and prepare materials for fabrication and welding.
• Operate fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, drills, and other shop tools.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
