Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an experienced MIG Welder for our Leesburg, FL fabrication team. This role involves welding and fabricating carbon steel products from light gauge to heavy structural components up to 4 inches thick.

The position requires reading blueprints, working in 1G/2F positions, and using 0.035/0.045 wire. It is a contract to hire role with competitive pay and overtime opportunities in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• Experience MIG welding in fabrication/manufacturing environments.
• Experience welding carbon steel.
• Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Comfortable welding heavy-gauge plate and structural steel connections.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on carbon steel from 10 gauge to 4 inches thick.
• Weld primarily in 1G and 2F positions.
• Use 0.035 and 0.045 welding wire for high-quality welds.
• Follow blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Weld components using jigs and fixtures.
• Fabricate and assemble components for steel products.
• Inspect welds for quality and specifications.
• Assist with general fabrication duties.
