Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a skilled MIG Welder for our Bradenton, FL area operations. This is a full-time, contract-to-hire role requiring welding on carbon and stainless steel, reading blueprints, and meeting production and safety standards.

The position offers a Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–3:00 PM schedule, with pay ranging from $23.00 to $32.00 per hour, plus a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth. On-site work with a stable daytime routine.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of MIG welding experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or production environment.
  • Ability to pass an on-site weld test.
  • Strong understanding of welding techniques and metal fabrication processes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and fabricated metal assemblies.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, weld symbols, and shop specifications.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Measure, cut, tack, fit, and assemble components according to specifications.
  • Inspect welds to ensure quality, strength, and appearance standards are met.
  • Use hand tools, grinders, saws, and other fabrication equipment as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA standards.
  • Work collaboratively with fabrication, production, and quality teams.
  • Meet daily production schedules while maintaining high-quality workmanship.

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable MIG Welder to join our growing team in Bradenton, FL. The ideal candidate will have experience performing high-quality MIG welding on steel components in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. This position requires someone who takes pride in their workmanship, can read blueprints, and consistently produces quality welds while maintaining production goals and safety standards.


Essential Responsibilities


  • Perform MIG welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and fabricated metal assemblies.

Qualifications

  • Experience reading blueprints, fabrication drawings, and tape measurements accurately.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.



Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with stainless steel and structural steel fabrication.


  • Welding certifications are a plus but not required.


  • Experience in a fast-paced production or custom fabrication environment.



Physical Requirements


  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work on your feet for extended periods.


  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.


  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, and welding fumes.


  • Ability to wear required PPE, including welding helmet, gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $32.00/hr.
