Job summary

Aerotek in St. Peters, MO is seeking a Welder/Fabricator to build custom industrial platforms, mezzanines, ladders, stairs, and steps from detailed blueprints.

You will use MIG and TIG on aluminum, steel, and stainless steel to produce high-quality, structurally sound assemblies in a busy manufacturing shop. This permanent position requires 3+ years of MIG welding experience, the ability to read blueprints, and stamina for extended hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years MIG welding experience.
• Minimum 2 years MIG welding on aluminum.
• Proficiency MIG welding on steel and aluminum in a production/fabrication environment.
• Ability to perform vertical and horizontal welds on various materials.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on aluminum, steel, and stainless steel components for platforms, mezzanines, ladders, stairs, and steps.
• Weld material in the 1/4 inch to 3/8 inch range while maintaining proper bead size and meeting weld quality standards.
• Fabricate parts according to blueprints and drawings, ensuring accurate interpretation of all custom order requirements.
• Use fabrication equipment to clean, prepare, cut, burn, and weld pieces, setting up and measuring assemblies to precise dimensions.
• Fit and assemble structural components, ensuring proper alignment and overall product quality.
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to plan fabrication steps and determine techniques.

Job Description

This role focuses on fabricating and welding custom industrial work platforms, mezzanines, ladder platforms, stairs, and steps for specialized projects, including aerospace and government-funded work. You will use MIG and TIG processes on aluminum, steel, and stainless steel to produce high-quality, structurally sound assemblies based on detailed blueprints and drawings. The position requires a strong fabrication experience, precise welding skills, and the ability to work extended hours in a busy manufacturing shop.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $54000.00 - $72000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
