Job summary

Aerotek in Delano, MN is seeking a MIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. You will weld various steels and alloys for playground equipment, reading blueprints and working with materials up to 1/8 inch thick.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and maintain precision in a clean, onsite production environment. This contract-to-hire position offers onsite work, with pay between $24.00 and $32.00 per hour, depending on qualifications.

Qualifications

• 1 year of MIG welding experience or equivalent schooling.
• Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints; testing may be required.
• Ability to read tape measures to 1/32" precision.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

Your expertise will be applied to materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, and black steel, along with alloys. These materials are thinner, up to 1/8" thick, making precision essential. You will work with blueprints and collaborate with team members who prepare the materials for welding. This role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Essential Skills

• 1 year of recent experience or equivalent schooling in MIG welding.
• Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints, with testing required.
• Proficiency in reading tape measures to 1/32" precision.
• Capability to lift 50 lbs without restrictions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2-year welding degree is a plus.
• Experience in pipe welding is an advantage.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
