Job summary

Chromalox is seeking an Outside Sales Engineer – OEM for the Midwest region to drive growth across North America for our heating solutions, systems, and services.

You will cultivate new customers, develop proposals, and manage the order cycle while partnering with cross‑functional teams to deliver technically sound heating solutions. Travel up to 50% in the Midwest; remote approved and territory‑matched.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of outside sales and/or service industry experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering preferred; other technical degrees considered.
• Self-motivated and results-oriented with a track record of exceeding sales goals.
• Travel requirements: up to 50%.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across departments to achieve goals and meet deadlines.
• Proven problem-solving, creative thinking, and timely issue resolution.
• Proven multi-tasking ability with a strong sense of urgency.
• Excellent organization, documentation, and communication skills.
• Remote approved; must reside within the sales territory.

Responsibilities

• Nurture relationships and drive sales growth with customers.
• Develop proposals, including basic heating calculations for heating solutions.
• Manage order entry, approval drawings, and returns authorizations.
• Reclaim and grow sales with defined customer list.
• Monitor sales and bookings for assigned accounts.
• Foster a culture of creativity in business development.
• Attend industry events to build relationships with stakeholders.
