Job summary

Via Transportation, Inc. is seeking a General Manager to lead an intermodal transit service in the Midwest. You will build and run a large, people-focused operation, balancing entrepreneurship with operations management in a fast-paced tech environment.

You'll manage on-site teams of drivers, dispatchers, mechanics and support staff, develop KPIs, report performance weekly, and ensure compliance with all policies while delivering world-class customer service.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of operations management experience.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Relocation to Sioux Falls, SD or Rochester, MN may be needed.
• Strong leadership and people development skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Manage on-site daily operations of Via’s Midwest service.
• Prioritize issues and coordinate scheduling for drivers and dispatchers.
• Lead and develop a large team of drivers, dispatchers, mechanics, and on-ground staff.
• Build relationships with driver partners, customers, community leaders, and organizations.
• Collaborate with Via senior management and external partners.
• Define team KPIs and report weekly results and priorities.
• Prepare reports and analyze data to improve processes and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable policies and regulations.
