Job summary

JBS USA is seeking a 3rd Shift Waste Water Technician in Ottumwa to support the Waste Water Department. The role involves daily operational adjustments, equipment operation, and data recording with the aim of maintaining compliance and efficiency across the plant.

This position requires willingness to work the midnight to noon shift from Saturday to Monday, and to obtain an Iowa Grade 1 wastewater operator license within 18 months. Training, benefits, and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word for data entry.
• Self-motivator and able to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Operate wastewater plant equipment and adjust daily operations.
• Monitor and record equipment data; maintain data accuracy.
• Assist with lab testing and data entry of environmental data.
• Operate sludge press as needed.
• Perform general housekeeping around Waste Water plant area.
• Operate forklift as needed and cover vacations or holidays.
