Job summary

CJ Schwan's is seeking a full-time sanitation worker for the 3rd shift in a food manufacturing environment. The role runs from 12:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m., with a starting pay of $18.75 per hour plus a $2.00 shift differential from 3 p.m. to 6 a.m. The job emphasizes strict sanitation procedures and documentation of chemicals used.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred with 0--1 year of related experience in sanitation or food manufacturing.
• Basic understanding of facility cleaning procedures and GMPs and safety standards (OSHA).
• Ability to follow regulatory, customer and company sanitation policies and procedures.
• Comfortable working in hot/cold, wet/dry environments and varying conditions.
• Flexibility to work full-time, overtime, weekends or alternate shifts as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate steam and high-pressure hoses to clean and sanitize equipment and facility.
• Operate COP tank cleaning equipment to clean disassembled equipment.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment as directed.
• Follow sanitation schedules and document routine cleaning of the facility and production line.
• Use and document chemicals at stated concentrations and for appropriate applications.
• Verify that correct chemicals and concentrations are used and cleaning is complete.
