Job summary

CJ Schwan's is hiring a Sanitation Technician in our Oklahoma facility. This full-time role cleans and sanitizes equipment, disassembles and reassembles gear, and follows strict GMP and safety procedures to ensure a clean production environment.

Starting pay is $17.25 per hour with a $1.50 shift differential for hours 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., and the 1st shift runs 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. We offer strong benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred with 0--1 year of related experience in sanitation, food manufacturing, or a similar industrial environment preferred.
• Basic understanding of facility cleaning procedures and compliance with safety standards (OSHA, local, state, and federal) and GMPs.
• Ability to follow regulatory, customer, and company sanitation policies and procedures.
• Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions, including hot/cold and wet/dry areas.
• Flexible availability to work full-time, overtime, weekends, or alternate shifts as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate steam and high-pressure hoses while safely cleaning and sanitizing equipment, tools, and facility to ensure all soil and contaminates are removed per procedures.
• Disassembling and reassembling equipment as directed.
• Following sanitation schedules to conduct and document routine cleaning of the facility and production line.
• Using and documenting chemical use to stated concentrations and for appropriate applications.
• Verifying and documenting that correct chemicals and concentrations are used and that cleaning and sanitizing is complete to deliver equipment and infrastructure that is clean and passes all micro indicator tests.
