School District 197 is seeking a Middle School Youth Program Site Supervisor to oversee a 4 hours/day program (2:00p.m.–6:00 p.m.), Monday through Friday. The role includes planning, supervising paraprofessionals, and coordinating youth activities for middle school students at the Noreen Activity Center, with summers expanding hours up to 40 per week.

Qualified candidates will have experience with youth programs, strong leadership, and skills in Word/Excel/Google Suite.

Formación

• One or more years of relevant work experience in education, Youth Program Development or similar or school age care.
• Experience working with middle school age children.
• Experience working with children with special needs.
• Strong leadership skills in program development and evaluation.
• Experience building successful teams and supervising staff.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop, maintain and nurture relationships.
• Work effectively in a team environment, ability to work as a team member.
• Ability to adapt willingly to frequent changes in activities, priorities and/or work schedules.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Google Suite.
• CPR, AED and First Aid Certified, CPI preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, develop and implement a developmentally appropriate program per district guidelines.
• Oversee diverse youth programming and activities.
• Write, implement and post daily lesson plans.
• Lead and mentor paraprofessionals through coaching and on-site observations.
• Plan monthly staff meetings and communications with parents and staff.
• Supervise students and ensure a safe, engaging environment.
• Conduct emergency drills and supervise off-site field trips as needed.
• Assist with payroll-related send timesheets and other duties as assigned.
