Job summary

Default Brand is seeking a compassionate Youth Mentor & Activity Specialist to work with middle school students after school. You’ll help create a safe, engaging environment, supervise activities, and build strong connections with students and families.

This part-time, relief role operates Monday–Friday, 3:15 PM–6:00 PM, with a $500 hiring bonus for this position. You will coordinate with the Middle School Youth Program Coordinator, lead at least 11 monthly activities, and support safe

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience with youth preferred but not required.
• Strong ability to build relationships with students and communicate clearly.
• Ability to lead activities and respond calmly to unexpected situations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise middle school students in a safe and enriching environment.
• Provide appropriate supervision of students to ensure safety and intervene when necessary.
• Actively engage with students through games, play, conversation, etc.
• Plan a minimum of 11 activities per month as assigned and submit for approval.
• Facilitate activities as assigned by Coordinator.
• Complete van driver duties and provide safe transportation to off-site activities and field trips.
• Clean and organize afterschool spaces to ensure safety and development.
• Help students with personal hygiene.
• Track attendance, snack records and participation as requested.
• Assist with data collection and reporting as requested.
• Report incidents and assist with forms as requested.
• Support students and implement consequences per policies.
