Job summary

YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago seeks a Site Coordinator to oversee daily operations of a school-age program in Naperville. You will implement the curriculum, provide leadership to staff, and ensure program quality and safety while coordinating snacks, supplies, and activities.

The role involves partnering with teachers and school staff, maintaining records to standards, assisting in events, promoting family engagement, and stepping in for other staff as needed to keep the program running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old and/or 5 years older than the oldest child in the program and meet program education/credential requirements.
• Experience in a childcare or education setting supporting high-quality programs.
• Ability to make effective decisions and communicate with team, parents and children.

Responsibilities

• Implements program curriculum with staff while following DCFS and YMCA standards.
• Provides guidance to staff onsite to maintain program quality standards.
• Facilitates collaboration with program staff, planning and leading staff meetings.
• Enhances parent/guardian engagement and ensures quality expectations.
• Collaborates with teachers and school staff to align and execute program activities.
• Maintains and audits program files according to standards.
• Assists in development and execution of events and seasonal programs for members and participants.
• Participates in program marketing and retention activities.
• Fills in for other staff as needed.
