Job summary

Jamestown Community Center in San Francisco is seeking a dedicated facilitator for after-school programs serving 6th–8th graders. This seasonal, non-exempt role offers up to 25 hours per week at $23.50–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience, through June 3, 2026, at James Lick Middle School.

The ideal candidate brings experience in youth development, teaching enrichment activities like arts, sports, or STEM, and a strong commitment to creating safe, supportive spaces for diverse youth.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching in after-school programs for middle school students.
• Background in physical education, arts, cooking, STEM or related enrichment.
• Experience with youth ages 11-14 in multicultural settings.
• Spanish language ability preferred.
• Provide SFUSD Instructional Aide documentation or equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Lead enrichment activities for 6th–8th graders Monday through Friday after school.
• Plan a project-oriented curriculum to support social-emotional, academic, and physical development.
• Develop and lead a curriculum that embeds high-quality skill-building.
• Prepare teaching materials and lesson plans.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming environment and communicate with families.
